Allweather 2-in-1 Waterproof Outdoor Horse Riding Rug For Horses / Ponies

This modular rug is both light and comfortable, and can be used to protect the horse throughout winter, from autumn through to the coldest months. 1260 denier fabric.

2-in-1:

This rug is composed of two elements that can be joined together to provide extra warmth during winter. To protect the horse from rain and cold in spring/autumn, the 200g waterproof rug can be used alone. When temperatures fall you can then also add the 250g under rug. This 2-in-1 system considerably reduces the weight of the rug on the horse’s back when compared to layering several traditional rugs.

Under rug:

The 250 g under rug features no attachments to prevent rubbing from fittings or excess fabric on the neck and ensure maximum comfort for the horse. The under rug cannot be used alone.

Fastening system:

The under rug is attached to the waterproof rug using rip-tab strips located on each side of the neck and the rear of the horse. This allows the two to be transformed into a single rug that is easy to handle and reduces the number of attachments used in comparison to layering several classic rugs.

Design:

The high cut of the neck prevents rubbing, and the Softshell insert across the withers provides maximum comfort. The curved shape of the tail flap prevents rubbing on the tail hair.

Waterproof hooks:

2 quick-release clips on the chest, cross surcingles and elasticated surcingles.
The snap hooks on the cross surcingles are equipped with rubber stoppers to prevent them from opening inadvertently.

Cleaning:

The fact that the under rug is detachable makes it easy to wash in a washing machine.

Care advice

Rugs should be regularly cleaned. When left for long periods of time, dried urine and manure can damage the rug. A dirty rug can cause skin irritation. Remove dust using a brush before removing the rug. All Fouganza rugs are machine washable at 30°C.
